About us

Island Communications Ltd was established in 1977. The company and it's founder have many milestones to their credit, including work on the worlds largest cable vision head end during the massive cable growth in the 70's, critical design work on the world's most reliable LORAN- C chain, designing and implementing systems for the oil & gas industry, pipeline & highway mega projects, rail transport systems, and designing and maintaining regional 9-1-1 dispatchsystems.

What we do?

Island Communications and it's related companies, operate out of the Cercomm Communications Centre at Bowen Rd. in Nanaimo and offer services and products for industrial and personal wireless communications. Our in-building service centre is designed to service any brand of equipment and our install bay can accommodate vehicles as large as logging trucks, utility boom trucks and fire department vehicles. The service personnel will also come to you for industrial installs & servicing.

The type of product offered by us includes:

  • Satellite phones for voice calls, data service, and personal asset tracking.
